WHAT DO I NEED TO BRING?
Please bring your brushes and full makeup kit. I suggest you bring a face chart or some inspiration referencing the theme stated. Bring business cards if you have them so you can take advantage of the networking time. Last, but not least, a water bottle and ENERGY!
DO I NEED TO DO HAIR?
No, there will be fellow hair stylists taking part who will design and create the hair looks on your model.
WHAT DO I NEED TO WEAR?
Comfortable clothing with enclosed shoes.
WILL I GET TO KEEP THE IMAGES?
Yes! You will receive professional, retouched images of your work that you are free to use as part of your portfolio and or on social media.
HAIR STYLING

HOW AND WHEN WILL THE THEMES BE CHOSEN FOR THE DAY?
Themes will be decided prior to the day and will bed chosen on latest trends and looks so that your portfolio aligns will the current trends. This theme will be advertised during the month prior to the event. You will be given a shoot brief on the day.
WHAT DO I NEED TO WEAR?
We recommend wearing loosely fitted clothing that will not damaging your hair and makeup during wardrobe changes; a button-up shirt is ideal. Avoid any tightly fitting undergarments which will leave marks on the skin and ensure that all jewellery has been removed.
Cleanse, tone and moisturise your skin and arrive without makeup or perfume. Deodorant should be applied.
Bring a pair of heels for runway and posing training.
HOW CAN I PREPARE FOR THE DAY?
You should prepare for the day as you would for a normal photoshoot; below is a list of recommendations:
Nails should be clean and shaped with clear polish; no fake nails
If using a fake tan it should be applied 2 days prior to the workshop
Eyebrows should be shaped and tidy
Underarms, leg and bikini line should be free of hair (wax 3-7 prior to the workshop to allow any irritation to settle)
Hair colour should be topped up (if applicable)
Avoid picking pimples
Exfoliate 24-48 hrs prior (lips also)
Ensure that you get 8 hours sleep the night before and are well hydrated
Your hair should be washed the day prior to the workshop and not tied
STYLING
WHAT DO I NEED TO BRING?
A styling kit, if you have one. If not, you won’t be disadvantaged, additional materials will be provided on the day of the skillshop.

HOW CAN I PREPARE FOR THE DAY?
Brush up on your skills obtained from previous courses / diplomas and degrees that you have obtained, read some of your favourite editorial magazines, and be familiar with current trends. Get a good nights sleep prior to the course, there is very little down time on the day so energy will be required!
AM I ABLE TO BRING MY OWN PIECES?
Everything will be provided on the day so you don’t need to bring any personal props, garments or items.

For the Foundation Skillshop:
- We supply camera and memory cards
- Notepad and pen
- Laptop fully charged (if own)
- Water
For the Professional Skillshop:
- DSLR cameras

HOW CAN I PREPARE FOR THE DAY?
Check all equipment is in order and batteries are fully charged. You will know the theme prior so this can give you a chance to research the look if you so wish.
WHAT DO I NEED TO WEAR?
It will be a busy day on your feet so make sure you wear something comfortable. Avoid any colourful clothing or clothing with obscene wording for the videographers. You will be filmed throughout the day for the behind the scenes video footage.
VIDEOGRAPHY
WHAT DO I NEED TO BRING?
If you are completing a foundation skillshop you don’t need to bring anything.
For the professional skillshops, if you own a video camera, bring it. We will assess your camera to determine if it is appropriate for the video you will be shooting.

WHAT WILL I BE SHOOTING DURING THE DAY?
You will have the responsibility to shoot behind the scenes (BTS) of your creative team.
During the day, make sure you get the required footage for a BTS video as per the brief provided.
Once edited, this video will be given to each member of your creative team after the event.
HOW CAN I PREPARE FOR THE DAY?
Make sure your camera is ready for use. i.e. charge batteries, format SD cards, etc.
We have developed an intensive skillshop so make sure you:
- Get enough sleep.It will be a full day of running around and shooting whats needed.
- Have breakfast before you come. Besides snacks, we will only be providing lunch.
- Bring a water bottle if you would like, however we will be providing water on the day.
You will also have a one on one time with the trainer in which you will be asked questions to determine and map out your career goals. Please ensure you at least know the direction you want to go career wise so the trainers can better guide you.
WHAT DO I NEED TO WEAR?
- Preferably all black or darker colours.
- Pants or jeans. No shorts.
- Closed in comfortable shoes. You will most likely be standing all day.
